Big Turbo Inlet 450ish bhp - free on a LT car .
Small Turbo EEC 500ish bhp - Ł100ish
RS500 Sierra 600ish bhp (without mods) Ł1 - 1.5k depending condition
Sweedish - not found limit yet, most seen so far is 737bhp Ł380
Mountune "Same as Rainbirds" 630ish bhp Ł3,200 new Ł1.5k + second hand*
MIS "Same as Reylands" not found limits yet, but the Norwegians have one running an "alleged" 920bhp. However, be aware that this is on a single butterfly, not the individual TBs that Martin has converted his to. Ł1.5k second hand, similar price to the Mountune one when it was new. But that is the standard item, not the one where Martin has incorporated Jenvey ITBs into it.*

*Please note that an ITB set-up requires T6 to run the multi-maps required, which adds and additional Ł2k+ for the required ECU and loom.

Will you actually get any gain from going for say a small turbo inlet on say.. a 400 bhp engine, or is there absolutley no point what-so-ever?

or even the same as Mossy's?

Was there any reason that you went for what Manifold you did mike? i mean if you not going for say over 600hp what is the best overall Inlet and why, why are they diffrent what are the advantages of each one? and if none then why not just go for the Sweedish as its peanuts compared to the others!

The likes of Martins inlet and the Mountune inlet, they both have Individual Throttle Bodies which increase throttle response

Martin's and Mike's Escorts are both built for track, So I guess thats why

If you read my article in Fast Ford way back, it details the reason for the choice of the Mountune set-up .

You will need T6, Motec or Autronic SM4 .

Julian Godfrey has some relatively cheap T6's for sale (Ł1600).

How is the car coming along - what spec are you going for?

if anyone is after an EECIV inlet i have one complete that could well be going up for sale, just finalising options over the coming day or 3

the manifold and plenum cover have all been freshly powdercoated in a light grey to try and look as mint and standard ish as possible.

unsure what this complete setup is worth (with throttle housing, ISCV etc)

after a guideline price if poss, just to help make up my mind to sell it or not, will only really be for sale if its not going to be able to deliver 550+

and before this gets deleted, its not a for sale post as such, a for sale post will be placed if i commit to selling!
