Alton towers etc minimum height for roller coasters?
Anyone know what the minimum height rules tend to be at the various amusement parks, I know its likely to vary a bit, but just wondered on a rough figure.
5ft 7???
You gotta be kidding
Im sure its FAR less than that, my ex was 5'3 and she never got turned away at any amusement park for being too short
I thought it was normally about 1.4 meters or something like that?

Ah, nice one, will get the mrs to measure her kids then as it seems a good excuse to go if any of them are tall enough
Bit more interesting for me than legoland again

Ive not been since I was a teenager (about a decade and a half ago!) so Id really like to go back as I dont think i will EVER grow out of enjoying roller coasters!
i may have read it a bit too literaly i suppose, you did ask what the minimum hieght for a roller coaster was, rather than the minimum hieght for allowed to get on the ride (normally by some plastic cut out of a policeman with his hand out to measure the height)
but yes, it's around the 4 foot 6 mark as it's all to do with the clamping on the seats for security reasons

Yeash, I understand the reasons for it mate
Just need to get Nina to measure the lads now, and see if I have an excuse to go yet or need to start feeding them up
How tall is a "normal" 7 year old lad?

no, not chairman mao's book
kids nowadays come with a red book and there are graphs on there to show you what "average" is plus and minus 50% of the population
if i get a chance i'll sho you when i get home but if anyone else has one they can probably list the heights (it goes all the way up to 20 year olds so by their reckoning, junior will be a stumpy little 5 foot 8

I also liked the pinball one can't remember what it's called though. Oh and Oblivion rocks! Chip you'll have a great time and if the kids are too small they usually do a queue jump thing where you can just go to the front and leave the kids there when you go on the ride

Chip, you will be fine for height mate....
some rides do have a maximum weight though so you may struggle.
best give them a call first to save a wasted day...
