Airbag warning light
Only option is to take the bulb out.
There is talk of the AIRBAGS being made part of the MOT so it will not pass when this comes in anyway.
Have you informed your insurance company as you MAY well find this invalidates any claim you may have in the event of an accident.

You need to find the connector in the column that connects the airbag contact ring to the loom, this will be a 2 pin plug........you then need to put a 2.5 ohm resistor between the connections on this plug(check this value on the old airbag unit by checking it with a multimeter).....this will simply mimic the old airbag and the system will work as normal...
Where I work, a scanner is plugged in which communicates with the car's ECU and the airbag light is cleared by using the scanning tool and clearing the fault code.
But I would assume the light would come back on again even if cleared.

Unless you fit the resistor, yes that is correct....

true BUT on a forum you never know who is reading and what they might do....
The go off with one huge bang, last thing you want is one deploing in ya face... well unless its attached to a car, then you do

But in all seriousness make SURE your insurance company knows about that mod or your all out of luck if someone hits you and you NEED to make a personal injury claim - as if they can find a reason to back out, like you've removed a standard fit safety system, they will!
