Default temp sensor

I assume you mean the gauge sender mate - have a new Ford one here so will go check the number Its a cosworth 3dr or Saff 2wd one - is that what you need?

Cheers,

Andy

that what i think i will try. my thoughts are that the gauge clusters are interchangeable between the sierras and the merkurs. so the gauge sender has to have the same properties as the merkur one. the mustang senders over here are only a couple bucks so i figured that the sierra ones couldn't be real expansive either.

Front end of the head mate - by the tubo, the wire usually runs over the cam cover to it and fixes with one of those 'top hat' connections... see pic

yeah that looks like the same style that is on the merkur. i ordered one from cosworth the other day so when it gets here we'll see if it has the same operating range as the merkur. which is 19 ohms on the hot side and 240 ohms on the cold side.

yeah me too. if it does then there will be scores of merkur owners that can make their temp gauges work again. i just can't believe that someone hasn't tried this already.
