Aircraft storage facility and graveyard in the mojave desert..........all the excess and decomissioned warplanes from the US air force end up there......

well actually cut up and recycled or used again if a major war was to break out... typical americans really .. have to show off how many old bits of junk they have ..

now .. who can start naming the planes there lol

Doing practice bombing runs about 150feet away!!

theres a prog on the history channel about the goings on there, they were originally put there so the russians could see and count after the cold war by satellite, they get ground up to very small bits and a lot of it goes in to new mobile phones apparently .

ok .. found something wrong

st wilmot road.. loads of f4's .. on the left hand side there should be what looks like 12 f14's .. but when you go into birds eye view someone has nicked em

also the f4 with the red wing tips ... just seems different .. i wanna know now what it was used for...

thats is americas aircraft graveyard and storage facility. alot of the decommissioned planes are available for sale. an f14 is 7.5million dollars. the phantoms are used as target practice when they test missiles etc. its crazy to think that most of those aircraft can be made combat ready in just 8 days!!!!
