Hello,

As I am not allowed to show any connection with NMS (as this is construed to be advertising for financial gain) please delete my profile.

I do not wish to pay £200 for the year, and thus would rather not be a member of this forum.

I have chosen to post this publically as I think the removal and restrictions on my profile is rediculous as it implies that if I am to be recognised as KARL NORRIS then I have to pay for this so called "priveledge."

What has annoyed me is that my username is a private name and NOT a Trader name. I do not breach any of the trader rules, nor do I come on here to sell anything.

Some may think I am being petty by removing my profile, but in this case it is the principle of the matter! I'd rather never post again than feel this site is full of little hitlers constantly tittering behind your back.

Thankyou.

unfortunatly karl you are not being victimised or picked on..
the trade signature thing has been going for a while now and whilst you probably have been missed in the sweep everyone who is a trader falls into this ..
As for your not posting or wishing your account to be removed then that is your decision but i can say that you will be missed...

not being picked on or victimised,my arse,

why passion ford feels it cannot allow some of the current ford/rs companies to be on this forum just because they dont want/need to addvertise on here is bloody stupid and incredibly petty.

everyone knows who is who and who can sell/ provide what,by addvertising on this site some folk are only trying to gain extra income which is no trouble.

if say karl didnt addvertise in fast ford magazine would that mean no car he has worked on or tuned be allowed to be featured?

my membership on here is a personal thing, yes i sell the odd thing to a few folk who are also members on here but this site has no reflection on my sales, even when i paid the trade subscriptios i doubt i sold more than one days worth of sales we do on ebay in a whole year.

i liked the site back in the good old days and wanted to keep it going so i paid my money, not for any financial gain.

its a shame that the real longterm companies around the ford scene are pushed away from the one site that should embrace and be proud to be assosiated with them.
the ford scene is going to suffer so much over the next decade and almost fizzle out, which will be a shame, there is no I in teamwork but their is one bloody great huge I in passion ford.......................

no doubt thats me banned as well.

IMO, Karl should be able use his full name if he wishes, also there are quite a few siggys with references to tuning companies why is this allowed?
eg mad, nms, msd, etc

one thing that seems to get overlooked time and time again is that were all on the same side here with our fondness of cars in general and on this site in particular fords.

nobody trades on passion ford, they chose to pay for an extra addvert or banner plus they get lots of other benifits.

nobody trades on here, they trade from their business premesis.

mark shead up untill recently ...
pete has works from his garage ...

seriously though just because some people decide to trade from home doesn't mean that are not vat registered etc

i will quite happily try to remove non registered traders from here who make money from this site .. but if i do not know who they are how do we make a start?

they both still have their garages at home though!!thats not what you said,my workshop is at home as well, but its not some little wooden shed or garage on the side of a semi!!

neither is petes or pauls,

the option should be if somebody wants to addvertise on here they can,if they dont then thats their call, addvertising is an option everywhere in the modern world, why is here so different?

now thats exactly my point, the site should be embracing the old hands/profesionals whos business's dont need to addvertise here or anywhere, but are very happy to help a fellow ford fan out on here with troubles or problems,
chase them away and the site becomes a joke,

Maybe not a joke but certainly less freindlier, can't see why if you're a gold member you don't at least get a bit of a say in how the site is run .

so how would you see the site be partly funded then.. aslets face it i go on plenty of sites that have adverts betwen posts and it pisses me off emensly....
so just because you work from home are vat registered but have a seperate workshop where is the difference from bobby whoever who can supply spare parts 10% cheaper than a large company as he does not have all the overheads but is vat registered who sits in his converted offfice in his house drinking tea ???

just interested tim as it sems that you are trying to make a point of this one issue ..

why should we as a site allow someone to advertise themselves free of charge when we make pete or you pay or for the privilige ?
i got to know of you through here and have spent a couple of quid with you not much but had it not been for Passionford then it would have been some local scrappy BUT i made a choice to get it from an established trustworthy breaker.... and this is what we want the users of Passionford to feel aswell..

Karl,

I agree the whole situation is rediculous IMO.

Particularly when people like you (And me) give good technical advice
and time to help other for ZERO profit.

I do not trade anymore yet cant have my username that I had well
before I started to trade.

When I was trading, I only delt through official traders on this site yet
wasnt allowed to retain my name without paying the fee.

However, this is Stu's site and he makes the rules and as I respect him,
I have bowed down to his wishes no matter how much I hate the situation.

The down side now is that this site isnt what it used to be and I dont use it
as often anymore (some will be glad for that I am sure )

(This is Simon (formally SECS *** ) just in case you didnt know

*** I hope the use of my old username that identifys me doesnt break rules LOL

if this isnt an embaressment to the webteam why not leave it in general discussions room?

moveing it to this room out of the public limelight just proves how embarressed somebody out there must be or how up somebody elses backside one of the moderators is.

while your at it the top banner needs changed,

reference site for ford enthusiasts my arse,

When did PF become a business anyways?

I thought this site was paid for by the gold members and the crappy ads that appear at the bottom of the page?

Why can't traders use the site?

Why can't traders use the site?
the traders have paid for the long time the prob being is lately people chose not to pay for one reason or another but still thought they could still have the rights to trade openly on the boards, which made it very unfair on paying traders such as nyrs dan@rapid reyland that have supported the site letting it go on , so therefore now if you dont pay you can't advertise
