Default My car was head hunted today!

Totally out of the blue! Got a call from Jamsport saying someone had been ringing them for my number as they knew I went there from seeing my car in Total Vauxhall.
Basically offered me a silly price for it and is buying it next Saturday pending viewing it

Yes, as above, I used to have a Cosworth, and have had loads of Fords in the past.
Post whore? Do I really post alot on here then?!
Look how long I have been registered and how many posts I have made
If you plan to ask this question to everyone here that doesnt drive a Ford, you have taken on quite a task!

I see you havent been on here long, may I suggest you remove the blinkers before continueing, as most people on here understand there are good cars other than just Ford

That video is actually an old S6, but does look very similiar to an S2 from a distance.
Anyway, standard S2 spec is:

230bhp
4x4
6 speed box
2.2 5cyl 20v
0-60:6.1
150mph

£400 remap gets you 280bhp, or you could spend around £1500 to get it to RS2 spec and have a reliable 450bhp
Porsche brakes fit straight on

This is the look I am aiming for

A VERY good Cav Turbo will get you 4k on a very good day
Mine WAS a very good one, one of the top 10 in the country pretty much.
The key to getting the big money was two things, 1)it wasnt for sale, and 2)he knew he would have to make a big offer for me to sell it as he wanted it bigtime!

These are the latest pics as it was when I sold it

Nice one Martyn.

I had a random call like that about 2 years ago. Someone offered me £12,000. At first you take it with a pinch of salt, but when they call every day for a fortnight to see if you have made your mind up, you start to take it seriously.

Shame that at that time I couldn't have sold it.

It wasn't running that well at the time and I have too much of a conscience to let it go for that sort of money without it running as it should.

It's funny to think of that as such an absurd amount of money, but when you think how much it would cost to do it again or for someone else to do it, I guess I can see why he would have paid that much. He had seen it in the mags and called off the back of that.

Mine had things that needed sorting out.
I simply explained to him that he will have to buy it with them still not done as he has asked me to sell out of the blue when it was not for sale.
Obviously if I was advertising it they would of been done first

When we drove off I saw it in the mirrors a couple of times, and as gay as it is, I did have a bit of a lump in my throat!
It made it was as I wasnt selling it due to a lack of love or interest.
But, I was planning on selling it when we moved, and would never of got such a good price, so it had to go!
As soon as I get a replacement all doubt about selling it will be gone straight away

It was abit wank having to let a Mondeo past on the way home from work last night, he would of normally been left for dust (I was driving the missus SRI)

Thats a cunt, it means I cant borrow it for using as a basis for writing technical articles about engine tuning anymore

Seriously though, nice one mate, its a good example of the marque so I can see why someone after one would pay over the odds for yours rather than hunt through all the shit out there to try and save a bit of cash.
