My dads next door neighbours caught fire!!
Nice car AWSOME SOUNDTRACK!!, very fast with little effort but not much more after it.
Never ever make the power they are rated at, they leak a lot as well(soft top).

My uncle had a TVR tuscan - most expensive car he ever owned and it spent most of its life being fixed by the dealer - you'll need loads of ŁŁŁ to burn with a tvr if its used and goes wrong outside any warranties

My mate has a dodgy battery in his. Its located in the passenger foot well and is apparently a nightmare to get to!!. He had to remove the ecu to get to it. Took him well over an hour !!

My dads mate has one too. He had to join the RAC because he lost all confidence in it after it broke down a couple times.

Awsome car tho .... when it runs

Basically you bought an RS after you heard all the horror stories.

How many have been true?

TVR's will be just the same my friend.

Watch out for rotten chassis outriggers, poor starting when hot (starter overheats) obv elec faults, inc wiper motor probs ( no longer available n Ł200 for a recon lol)
duff boxes, more or less the same T5 as a cos, cracked blocks n leaking diffs
And all the above lol

btw, Did I mention overheating

The build quality/wiring is shocking from what I saw on the two Cerbs that my bruv-in-law owned

His first one lasted a day,he brought it around for me to take for a spin, and I brought it back like this:

Well the one he is looking at is a 4.0L V8, its only done 57,000miles with a full service history so it sounds good..

my friend owned one for a year and it was no trouble

used to leak a bit but if you have a garage then its not a problem

his was the 4.0 V8, not as quick as my stage 3 saff but quick nontheless

14.5 sec quarter ish

was a brill car and it sounded awesome and looked fantastic

dont be put off by the horror stories, but make sure he/mechanic checks it over thoroughly.

how much is it, my friend sold his 50k miles 1996 chimaera for Ł8300 recently, personally i thought it was a bargain, and if i had sold the saff in time i would have considered it

no door locks, that can't be right??

The ones I have looked at look the nuts, but the build quality was shocking, more so on things like window rubber etc, just badly designed.

Interior looks mental, totally different, but 60% of the ones in the trader say "New engine by TVR" on 20-30k motors

no thats about the going rate for that model and year assuming its ultra low mileage - perhaps a tad optomistic

tbh 6k sounds silly cheap even for an early 4 litre, its either done mega miles or is rough.... if not bargain of the century!

they don't have door handles either, but that don't mean you can't lock the doors

Thats right. They just have a little button you push & it pops the door so you can open it.
