Default Liverpool Fans...

Are you happy with the main signings so far?

Babel
Torres
Benayoun
Voronin
Lucas Leiva
Leto

I think the one that I'm most happy about is Babel

How much did you've payed for Babel, here they say about ₤11 million??

I think he's a good player but not worth that amount of money,he should have stayed 1 or 2 years with Ajax, but on the other hand if you can get such a big price for him....hope you'll enjoy him.

Babel has been described as the new Henry, so that maybe where all 'those' rumers came from

Not sure about Benayoun, i'll reserve judgement.

Torres , no 9 speaks for itself

Voronin?? See Benayoun

The other 2, good squad members. Future stars?

i've got to say bar babel and torres the rest seem like a bloody waste of an opportunity to fight for the PL this year, imo there not much better then the players there replacing

look at manu's signing all worth nearly 20mill EACH because of there quality and not forgetting the value of some of the other sqaud members were bought for most of which worth in excess of 25 mill EACH

but who knows maybe rafa's got rite but not spending what is now known as BIG money, would make the rest look very bad

Wait 1 or 2 years and possibly pay another £10m Its worth buying him now and farming him out for a year to save that kinda cash.

I wanted Benayoun at City

Hardeep....

Nani and Anderson have to prove themselves in the PL yet, although they are widely acclaimed as excellent players, its still a gamble to spend so much money on youngsters, especially as both Lucas and Leto have rave reviews too, but they only cost £6.8m.

Liverpool's new signings will have to gel together as well as the long term injured players like Kewell and Aurelio finding their feet again. I'm not expecting L'pool to win the league this year, but they won't be far off it. At least we have one of the best defences and keepers, if not the best defence/keeper in the PL.

Those who say 11.5m is too much can't realise that Babel is only 20yrs old and has played 14 games since 2005 for Holland and scored 4 goals as well as playing 5 times for the U21s and scoring 2 goals. Not bad for a winger - eh?

He was better when he first started playing for L'pool than he was towards the end.

Mike... can only advise you to book tickets through the official L'pool site now, at least 6-8 weeks in advance. I don't go up by coach anymore with the supporters club where I could get them from before since I bought the Fiesta.

HOW TO APPLY FOR TICKETS

Also check daily LATEST TICKET NEWS for dates they come on sale.

Also it is advisable to apply for a FAN CARD

a lot of money for unproven premiership players imo. torres is no was a £20 million player. far too inconsistent. seems liverpool are just the new chelsea paying over the odds for players which is a shame.

Over the odds? New Chelsea? Not when ManU have spent £52m on 3 players..... 2 definitely unproven in the PL and Hargreaves has yet to play in the PL.

no need to flirt with me lynne

but the fact is alot of clubs (includin liverpool) are spending over the odds on players this summer. ie: villa, man city, liverpool, man u, and spurs, but it seems that the dip in transfer fees over the last fe tears is over cos of the billionaire owners coming in. but its causing a hell of a gap with other clubs and imo its not good for the game. only club im surprised with is chelsea. theyve signed 5 players and only spent £13 million... the mind boggles

The blokes as cunt ,end of,shame he had a bit of speed, cause if god hadnt given him that he would have been a smackhead on the streets of Cardiff,my girlfriend cuts hair at a top salon in the City, and he came in after the row with souness and he was sitting getting his hair cut screaming " there all fucking who know nothing, shearers a cunt"

Such are the rewards available for success then spending that extra mil or 2 could pay divid ends.

Does Rafa rate Crouch that much to stick a £20m tag on his napper, I think he is a decent player myself but not even half the £20m decent.

Might have a point to be fair , shearer was a right moaning old woman in his last few seasons , always crying to the ref....

Unfortunatly Belamys ego outdoes his ability by a long way, and I'm a Liverpool fan.

What we were missing last season was creativity and goals, hopefully the new signings will sort that, but still be nice to see Riise playing etc, hope we don't go to an all new team too soon.

i think crouch is an awesome player and probably still the best striker that liverpool have. for someone so tall he has amazing technical ability and can score a few goals as he has proved for liverpool and england.

but agreed he's not worth £20 million.

The side Rafa seems to be building this year will perform much better than in recent years.

Surprised we have no big name defenders coming in as cover/alternatives but we have a very very strong midfield ;

Gerrard
Sissoko
Alonso
Mascherano
Leiva
Benayoun

and then some very good attackers too ;

Torres
Crouch
Kuyt
Voronin
Babel
Pennant

you could pick any 6 of those 12 players and have a very attack minded side IMO and there are a few talented youth players looking good too

Fergie has confirmed Heinze wants to move on, i'm not that keen on him, but i really don't rate Riise so i'm not too fussed....that's IF he wants to come and play for us.

I'm keeping expectations fairly low this year, but i'm excited

Im reserving judgement myself until we complete the first 10 games. we have some tough tests in those 10 games and im keen to see we perform better away from home in those games than we did last season. Rafa is making some good signings i just hope he finds his best 11 earlier in the season rather than later. We must push for the premiership this season and not the Champions league. I like many many liverpool fans want to see us be English Champions for the 19th time. My thoughts on this being possible will be determined after those 10 games.

Either way i just wish that every single home premiership match was like the atmosphere that night last season against Chavski. It was truly truly awesome and will live with me forever. Away games are always boistrous and a scream to be involved with but if Anfield is to see another title before the new ground the 12th man needs to assist like never before.

With the new RTK this season being implemented, there'll be the 12th man in attendance at all games

Last season was a disaster in the pre-season friendlies. At least out of 3 friendlies so far this season, we have won all 3 and scored 3 goals in each game.

If Darren Bent was £16m then Crouch is worth £20m!!!!!!

crazy money I know but Crouch is miles ahead of Bent

Seriously, is Darren Bent worth £16m, is he bollocks, IMO Spurs have paid at LEAST £6m over the odds for him.
