Well had the Saff all setup today, look at how it was, no wonder it was pulling all over the place
-21.mm
Front

Rear

End result..

Mike took your advice and it's totally awesome now, drives superb, must say aswell, this car REALLY pulls well, credit to Jim and Karl etc for all the hardwork and ££ that's gone in to it, don't think i need a GT30 setup..
...Regards Pete..

It really is fucking amazing the difference between a car thats setup right or not, its so easy to think "its only a few mm difference" and not realise how much difference that actually translates to in the handling.
Attention to detail on this front is without a doubt why everyone who has driven MikeR's car raves about it so much!

what suspension parts need to be fully adjustable to benefit from this set up?
i really need the xr2 set up properly but only have coilovers and adjustable panhard rod?
will i have to wait till i have adjustable front and rear arms etc?
thanks

But yes you need adjustable arms really so that camber and castor can be set.
I would imagine the rear end of your its pretty limited in terms of what can easily be fabricated to alter camber back there though.
Eccentric bushes work well on calibra rear arms for example. but ive never seen anything similar for the XR2, but TBH its not really a car im familiar with anyway, so obvioulsy you need to talk to someone who is.
I would give Brom a ring when he is back from his little gaunt across europe.

Brilliant News.......I knew there couldn't be much wrong, and it had to be something with the set-up.
Now Get Out There and Drive it......
I just checked my ruler to see how much it was out......

I must admit, the setup on this car is awesome, the beam tca`s are fantastic, handling gives you SO much confidence

But yes you need adjustable arms really so that camber and castor can be set.
Ha,
you not so clue'd up on suspension then Chip.
As pm's Marc,
Front,
Camber = adj tca's or camber bolts.
Castor = adj Tiebars, or modified to suit your car.
Rear,
Beam mod's for camber and tracking.
adj link arms to allign a axle to car.
Panhold rod to centralise the beam to car.

Weirdly you seemed to reply saying the same as me, and then sounded like you were saying otherwise.
I know a bit about suspension, but nothing about modifying the panhard rod arrangement on a fiesta (other than how to spell it correctly at least) as Ive never worked on one.

Adjustable lower arms will only do Camber, not castor.......

Im not familiar with the fiesta setup though, like I mentioned, but that doenst mean I know nothing about suspension in general like it appeared you were saying for some reason.
