Front crankshaft oil seal!!
I have a 1.8 CVH sierra whcih has just deveoped a front crashaft oil seal leak
(the end with the cam belt etc). Just wondering if theres ne way of changing this without having to take the bottom end apart any info would be great

What do you mean by take the bottom end apart?
Surely it's just a case of popping off the bottom pulley, cam belt etc and replacing the seal.
Not a hard job, took me less than an hour to do the front seal on the cossie last weekend

I've only been involved in cars for about 6 months and have never had this problem, I was tld by someone that you have to remover the crankshaft for some reason tahts why I asked about the bottom end?
