There are lots of them around the kit is for about 15K you can make a Focus run deep into the 10's.

Cost of a Focus 5K
Cost of the V8 Kit 5K
Cost of a good V8 crate motor 5K

Still the only replacement for displacement is BOOST!!

no replace ment for displacement

actually the technology with their V8 has progressed at the same pace as our stuff over here. While VVIT isn't in use I dont think, the SVT Mustang has fuel injection and variable length plenum. They dont all use carbs n stuff.

Not but they have also are looking at having cylinders that shut down so it goes from a V8 to a V4 in situations where your just cruising, idling and you dont neet to use all 8 cylinders.

NSX's run on 3 cylinders when cruising and all 6 when the foot is down.. the americans are still in the dark ages like you say.. and the french etc just came up with VVTi - the japs had this over 15 years ago..

Maybe we should just let the japs do the work.. coz we all know they do it better anyway

How can you guys say American cars are in the Dark ages?? because they don't build all tiny cars? the Yank engine technology ranges from 4cyl to 10cyl. While the racers here in US have been using stand alone engine mgmnt, you guys are just starting to catch up.
Why do they swap with a dirty great V8? because we can. Same reason why some Fezzy's,transits, focus's, Ka's, S1/S2 escorts put in the Cossie engines, for more Power!
