How do the bulbs come out of Mk6 Escort Clocks?

How do the bulbs come out of Mk6 Escort Clocks?
Anyone know? I'm used to the older clocks where they just turn out easily? Is there a knack to these because they obviously don't just turn out. I need to remove the airbag bulb but can I heck as like get it (or any of the other bulbs) out. I don't want to use brute force and ignorance 
in case I knacker something.
