But I would hazard a guess on approx 7200 to 7500 on a 2wd Cossie with standard diff and box ratios

Ive never driven a Cossie with a stock rev limit so thats new to me
This is why Dumped was so pissed when he went all the way to Brunters with his 400bhp car PLUS silly amounts of Nitros, but could only hit 157mph like all the other stage III cars there that day

Steve.
Just trying to work out my 0-100mph time
I know the car does 0-90mph in 8.6sec (Santa Pod 1/8th time)
Was hoping its good for a 10sec 0-100mph time.
The car has 371bhp and 351lb/ft

you should can work out the torque generated at the output of the gearbox in each gear right through the rev range. you need a print out of the engines torque curve.
please correct me if I'm wrong but its normally an advantage to hold each gear as long as possible. (N.A. cars)
so change gear when the output torque in the next gear is greater than the output torque in the current gear.
example.
in 1st you might have output torque at 3000 rpm of 1500Nm.
in 5th at the same rpm maybe 500Nm.
I hope that sounds ok.

i have a stage 3 with normal gears and dif, i was pulling 100 coming on to the Dunlop staraight at Donnington on sunday, in 3rd reving (acording to standard rev counter and spedo) right on to the 7k.
