Default RS500 ON DIESEL

What a wanker i am
Put diesel in the RS500 as i was going to get it set up
YES I KNOW but saying that sansiburys just have a little marker saying diesel and stuff and about 800x larger auto trader advert
and some if not most have a voice saying warning diesel
Lucky why i didnt start it got it recovered and taken to the garage and sorted
didnt even have to pay for the Ł18 i put in
but missed out on the set up

Anyone got a letter or something to make a claim THE MANAGER SAID TO eg waning signs to small no voice like other forcourts

you're getting it setup and you put Sainsburys fuel in?? -
& hardly any verbally say 'diesel' when you pick them up, in fact I've NEVER heard any do that, not saying none do but its certainly not the norm

also the diesel nozzle is bigger than the petrol, so you should be able to put pertol in a diesel, but not diesel in a petrol

thats what i found once when trying to force the diesel nozzle in a petrol vectra

I suppose it's relatively easy done - Old Sierra filler necks don't have the restrictor to prevent you sticking a diesel nozzle in. At least, mine doesn't have one.

Nothing wrong with Sainsbury's fuel mate - rather that than Tesco's 'value' watered down fuel!!

AROFLOL @ this thread

You want to make a claim against Sainsbury's cos

a) YOU put the wrong fuel in
b) YOU couldn't differentiate between green + yellow/black
c) YOU couldn't read the bit that said UNLEADED and DIESEL
d) you didn't hear a "little voice" telling you NOT to do it?!?!?!?!?

Sorry but you're a dickhead

Not once have I EVER heard a voice at the pump saying "Warning! Diesel!".... And I find it hard to see how it's possible to put diesel in your car when the hose is a different colour, the handle to the pump is a different colour, the writing on it tells you what it is (and what it isn't by deduction) and on the display it tells you what fuel you are pumping....

Gallardos probably have knock sensors I would suggest I wonder if Shell who spend all that money sponsoring Ferrari & Ducati think its worth while putting the exact same stuff in Sainsbury's where they get no advertising at all?

Its not the same stuff. Same Octane (ish) but its 100% not the same composition.
