Anyone seen it yet? Is it any better than the first one?

The first one wasnt even all that.. I was hoping to shit myself!

 

No, the first one was disappointing. As it was around the same time as Saw, which was a truly excellent film, it had a tough act to follow. I hoped that the second Hostel film may be an improvement.

 

my brother saw it and said it was naff, and one part of it goes a little 'over the mark' as he put it

BUT....he doesnt really like horror like me, and hasnt seen the first one either, so make of that what you will

i'm gonna watch a 'review' copy of it tonight i think

I have higher hopes of 'Vacancy' or 'Captivity', which are both supposed to be good.

 

After the first one was billed as the most gory film ever i was a bit disappointed.

Few toe curling moments yea, but hoping the second is better

Indeed there were a few really rank bits in it, but none compare to the superbly thought out scenes in Saw 1/2/3. Sadly, Hostel was a fantastic storyline, but badly put together.

I think it was Saw 2 that started with a guy with a key implanted in his eye socket, which he had to cut out himself. That is actually the closest I have come to feeling VERY ill while watching a film!!

 

avoid vacancy.....its crap (maybe if its on the TV )

captivity is ok, and elisha cuthbert is very fit so maybe thats why i havent panned it

saw the new trailor for '1408' with john cusack at the cinema last night

looks pretty freaky

 

I'd be feeling pretty ill too if a guy was trying to cut another guy out of his eyesocket!


was a quality scene though... cant help thinking i wouldn't even have bothered trying either. some of the others i'd have given a go if my life depended on it... but definitely not that one.

 

Aint too bad, nothing special. The ending is fucking shite, couldnt believe it when it finished. Vacancy was better in my opinion

 

First time I watched Saw at the Cinema I SHIT myself....

Watched Saw III the other day.... total shite

Hostel was good I thought... just the build up was soooo ZZZZZzzzz but when it got going

looking forward to Hostel II, but going to wait for DVD so I can fast forward the inevitable slow dull build up where they try to develop the characters and fail BADLY

hostel 2 is shit iv seen it it,s slow as fcuk at the start. it seems like thay were on a budget no decent acters or fuck all. if you watched the first one and hoping this one is better you will be disapointed. marks out of 10 is 3

If you want to see another waste of a potentially great storyline, then take a look at Paradise Lost.

 

Pretty much the same as the first one but with women on holiday rather than blokes

watched hostell part 2 last nite n although its very gory not as good as the first!

 

hostal was a lot better than the second, (as others have said) compare them to saw and they are no match

Went to see it last night after watching the 1st yesterday afternoon

I personally thought it was OK!

 

saw it last night, NOT as good as the 1st

not much gore, but the ending made me wince

personally i wouldnt bother going to the cinema for it.

although it did approach the story from both sides which was an interesting touch, though not well executed

 

well the first one was a bit crap and then theres all this hype that the second one is amazing cos quinton tarantino is more involved but to be honest it was shit.

it only last an hour and a half, what i thought was the warm up/intro was actually the peak of the film, i was just starting to think 'this will be good' when the credits roll

but the saw's they are amazing

 

the Saw movies are in a different league compared to hostel 2..

As above hostel 2 only starts to get slashy in the last half an hour the rest is wank IMO....

Personally Id rather watch the best film ever made.. Silence Of The Lambs

 

watched it last night,thought it was shite!

 

The only good bit in hostel was the bit when he ran over the burds who lured him and his mates to the torture place, then reversed over them to make sure they were dead

i liked the saw films,

that condemed was shite aswell, fel asleep in it

 

i went to the pictures last night to see it,basically it was a waste ov money,i just started 2 get into it then the credits came on, could ov done the storyline much better.

 

hostel 2 was every bit as crap as the first. stick with the saw films, a tough act to follow

 

I watched it about 3 or 4 weeks ago! Got it off some chinease lady! Sat in, watched it on my own not knowing what it was going to be about! Fuck me, i thought it was wrong!! So much so, i binned it!! lol! Quite sickening!

& yea as jaimesdna said! Saw all the way! Saw 1 & 2 were real good, 3 was a tad boring i reckon!

lol, i edited my post after! I've got all of the saws! I normally love abit of horror, not much has ever really bothered me but that Hostel did! Not sure if i was tierd or whatever but seeing girls snatched off the streets, sold and then chopped up isn't really my thing! & more to the point this type of thing does actully happen!

 

i gotta say i love watching teenagers getting chopped up in new & brutal ways. its only a film after all

 

I thought The Descent was pretty good. Bored of it now, but first time watching was good! Havn't really watched many films lately, not much has come out!?

 

personaly i thaught the first 1 was a bit scary, just thinking about the surcumstances


but the second 1 is more of a comedy, absolute pish

 

So whats the Hostel series like compared to 'The hills have eyes,' i though it was pretty brutal...
