Red series one
Just wondering if anyone can help with the colour code for the original series one's which were painte red!
I'm thinking of getting mine painted red, they look cool.
If anyone has some pics that would be great too. cheers

Im doing a resto on a mk 3 xr3i and its staying red but with s1 styling and zvh turbo power, so i can get the paint code off the plate tomoz for you as the colour is the same, check out the post in resto's and re-builds red series 1

All originally white except, Diana's Black one - the only one with anything other than white on the VIN plate to come out factory. Diana's says Schwarz (German for Black)
The Red ones were sprayed Royal Mail Red as they were sponsored by Datapost (Part of Royal Mail at the time)
Grey one went back to factory (according to myth) to be resprayed from original diamond white to the grey at customers request.

The Red Datapost promotional car came white and was sprayed red by Ford(seen resto project and is white inside).
Grey one came white and was sprayed grey by the dealer.
Diana's one was special order and came black from the factory hence has Shwartz on the vin plate.

The ONLY car that was ORIGINALLY produced in a different colour to white was Dianas black one.
The red/grey/pink/purple ones were ALL orginally WHITE and resprayed at a later date.
A guy still owns Dianas old S1, it was won on a radio station then sold on to a chap called J Windsor off the RSOC.
He has been offered a serious was of cash for it, but would sell it 'if the price was right'.

i was under the impression, after being told by peeps on rsoc years ago when i asked this question, that the datapost ones were red from factory
but hey ho, if theres only 1 different coloured one than wjite and it was di's, i cant think of how much that would be worth....priceless...
