Default Track peeps, uneven brake pad wear?

Been to Donny today, cracking day.

Put 1144's and EBC discs on the FRS last week. Getting some horrendous noises from the brakes as the day went on, still working fine though.

Had a look when I got home and the drivers side inner pad is worn at a slant from 4mm to 8mm from side to side. All the pistons are free in the calipers.

Any ideas??

Do the calipers have different size pistons? If so the disc should pass through the smaller bore first... is that the case?

4 pots yes,if they are then surely you must have one thats not performing right, pushing harder on one side, hence the wearing on an angle.

That was my first thought, but all the pistons seem very free when pushed back in (they are Brembo 4 pots).

Not sure about the piston sizes though, will have a look (passenger side wear seems pretty even). Funnily enough the wear on the Saff pads looks slightly similar on the drivers side. Could it be anything to do with the way a circuit runs?!? i.e. Clockwise?? Long shot, but other than that i'm clueless!

i'd put money on the pad being stuck where it's supposed to slide before saying the pots weren't working properly

you should be able to spot the problem by getting someone to press the brakes pedal while the wheel is off so that you can see whre the problem is occouring

i can also rememebr soemthing about some calipers wearing one pad out before the other because of it being leading and trailing, but i always thought that was only the case with drum brakes
