Ive got a loud tapping..well knocking noise but it only does it under load or if quickly rev'd. If i hold constant speed it doesnt do it.
Sound like a spun shell

if its a CVH then its probably the cam?

spun shell you may well of seen a rod by now lol

 

Been driving around for 2 weeks with it now.. and i havent exactly driven sensibly either,lol. Took the whole hopefully it will shut up mindset

 

spinning a shell will drop your oil pressure and basicly fuck the bottom end if it's left for long enough
i span a shell on a fresh engine and, even after i stopped straight away when the pressure dropped and the engine starting knocking it still needed a cleaning up of the crank

spa pressure gauge warning light came on and i lifted off and stopped within a few seconds in case you were wondering

 

its a nasty noise that shouldn't be there so its best to strip the lump and get it sorted. I've had a shell go when I had me cossie and it was the kind of noise you describe.
