need to source sum water hoses for my mk4 escort, whish is havin xr engine fitted but with the water controlled choke. so itd have to be the old xr3 hoses. where can u get these from?? cant find any being broken

another thought is..the carb on the engine in the car looks exactly the same from the top, obv it isnt cos its a 1.3...but could i use the manual chocke set up off that?? and how hard would it be to change over?? then id just be able to get xr3 water hoses right??

wasn't the xr3 electric auto choke?

can't you just get about a inch wide rubber pipe from the motor factors by the metre and make your own?

actually, you say thats the same carb as your 1.3? would i be right in thinking the 1.6 engine your fitting has the ford vv carb fitted?

 

dont know what the carbs called lol :S they just look the same from the top but the linkages r completely difrent.

also ill need a difrent throttle cable cos of the linkage, are all fords same fitment on to the pedal, cos might jus get 1 off an old xr2 cos i know sum1 breaking 1.

spose i could do that with a universal hose, would need a few t piecees tho...they easy to get hold of??

u got any pics of your carb is it round or rectangle

 

no piccys, but its rounded top with two holes, but only one hole is actually a hole lol.
