Default Breather pipe

I've just noticed beside my oil filter I have a breather pipe that leads to just under the car with a little breather filter on the end.

Where is it ment to be conected?

Is this pipe coming out of an oil separator or the block?
If it’s coming out of a bally type oil separator then it’s normal to have one pipe vent to air.

Jase the pipe looks like it should be connected somewhere around the starter motor area, but I can't find anywhere to connect it.

It's just a normal hose around an inch wide with a plastic tube on the end thats obviously fitted somewhere

The pipe then goes just under the floor with a little k&n breather on it.

I asked the same question many moons ago Gary, but got a lot of confused looks!

Mine pointed downwards as in the second pic, never had a filter on the end either. If i remember correctly you can remove the downward facing part...

Sneaky suspicion that it once actually connected to the airbox in a former life

Get a bailey breather on it, then you can bin it all!

correct usually they come up and round the front of the engine and then connects to the airbox lid.

I just left mine how it was Gary, then binned it once i fitted the bailey breather.......

All its doing is venting to the atmosphere anyway!
