The wind must of moved a few tiles or something cause I've had quite a bad leak with all this heavy rain, can I claim for the roof on the insurance and have it fixed? and is there the opportunity to fiddle it a bit and have the roofer put a claim in for more work than needed and have him do what ever else need doing to the roof while he's up there?
Yes Matt.
We;ve clamed for the roof 3 times for storm damage.
Its up to the assor to determine what he aportions to the recent shite weather.
Usual process is .
Ring up- they tell you make/pay for a temp repair- such as a tarpauline - which you can claim back.
They send an assesor out to check the damage and decide what they're gonna pay for.
Get quotes for work- or the company will apoint a trades person.
Get work done
Claim for money if its not an apointed trades person.
IF you were keen- one might remove more tiles.... and if you were really keen drop them OR stamp them into the flat roof of your extension causing more damage.
