Default Van for work

Im looking at getting a 2nd hand van for work.

Looking at spending about £4k, can anyone recommend any as there seem to be so many to choose from?

thanks

Blimey thats a lot of cash!
I take it you'll need the van for taking stuff around with you?

It depends on what your gonna be humphing about - big boxes or a toolbox?

I quite like the Transit Connect, as it's small and not as heavy going as the Transit itself. Not idea on prices though.

You could always get after this:

If its a small van you want, go for the combo rather than the transit connect. Much better value for money and as reliable as they come. Ive done 50k in my 54 plate combo and its never missed a beat. A pair of tyres and a couple of oil changes and thats it!

we have a few different size transits & a lwb high roof connect, the connect is externally nearly the same size as the swb low roof transit, i prefer the transit to the connect, more room, 3 seats in the front & better to drive imo.

Astravan!

Drive like a car, they look good, pretty nippy, and your not restricted to lower speeds as its a car derived van. Unlike the trannies.

Had mine since 2003 and its just about to hit 200k.... The only problem I've had was an air temp sensor kept putting the eml on! and thats in 160k...

Of course its well maintained with oil & filters etc.

Where did you see these mate.
Manheim auctions haydock

also saw 52 plate jarvis transit connect's with 115k ish miles do
2000 grand plus vat.
them jarvis/network rail vans have all had a waft over in dark red
as they are all originally diamond white.
but 2k sounds cheep.
the ones with 45-70k miles were 700 to a grand more
these were at BCA Manchester
