Being an ex white van man I can say that it's completely unrequired. white van drivers seem to manage extreme feats of acceleration and speed from just the ordinary diesel engine.

Fair play Bernie, that is first class Bet thats a lot of fun for upsetting the Max Power lads in their blinged up Corsa's and Saxo's. Come to think of it I bet it's a lot of fun upsetting a lot of things

I dunno, the Transit's Stage 1, and I did the conversion for pulling my trailer and race car.
Do I feel a challenge coming on?

yeh !!!

but we have to make it equal , my van fully loaded , with car and trailer weighs in at ( in the red corner ) just under 5 tonnes , if we set off from a set destination (both same weight) and race for say 500 miles and then back ??

hows that ????

did i mention that i run LPG and have twin fuel tanks for gas and petrol ????

ooooooooppppppssss forgot that bit

your like me tho bernie , i fookin hate diesel powered (factory) vans , there slow as fook and use more fuel than a well powered petrol

i hate being stuck in 1st gear up hills , so our came the 2.5 TD in went 3500cc petrol on gas !!! V8 power !!!

That's why I did mine, but it is great fun.
Without the trailer on the back it's a flying machine. Traction's good too, with all my race spares right at the back of the van
I've got an ATB diff coming though, as the standard planet gears are a tad weak
0-100 is awesome!

Not that hard. When I get a minute (cue hollow laugh) I'm gonna do an essay on the project.

It will be ready - should have most of the work done by this weekend.
