I really need to learn more about cars, I'd have thought that was mint too

I Had a messer with a purple rs turbo in essex. Gave me fake address wrong numbers i put 100 miles on my van for nothing!
And guess what i found in the car park at the rs day at santa pod!
Yep, thats right the car i was going to buy a couple of my mates had to take me back to the show cos i was waiting there for him to come back!

I know but can't help thinking I've created some waves now.
On the plus side when I did go to view I did get to see some superb scenery in Wales so the day wasn't a complete waste

To be fair though, most people going to view an RS know about RS's so will look for stuff that doesn't slap you clean in the face, he clearly didn't understand nor realise this

What is the point of advertising something as its not ?
I always try to be as honest as I can when selling anything.
Must say though that someones perception of 'mint' can be and is normally different from your own.
I normally stay away from anything advertised as mint as the word says it all really !

How many people keep selling cars with the tag of mint condition when it has issues or rust though. I'm sure they think it means good for its age or something and therefor put "mint". To me mint means mint, that you can eat your dinner of it and its been well cared for.

Skeg it should mean perfect condition like you say but it really just shouts stay well clear as the seller is delerious or smokes too much dope.

funny that the bloke describes that white one as mint and then sell the moondust one earlier this year only to have a threat of small claims court after the new owner found god knows how much wrong with it!

What I came to view was a car that looked like it had been painted by a drunk with a bike pump with large runs. The car had blatantly had at some point a significant side impact and the paint on the originally black side skirt was extremely thin and substandard. The car also was only running at 11psi which isn't going to see 200bhp in a million years. The seams under the car had been folded over and crushed flat by incompetant use of a trolley jack.
