Default I am considering a SECS ECU

Thinking of buying one, mainly like the idea of being able to constantly upgrade without buying new chips. However would like advice about some things is it possible to upload a standard stage 3 map to the ECU to start with? Is the mapping cost the same for a ecu like this as it would be to have a chip live mapped? And finally if I did go for one where is the best place to get it mapped close to bristol??

I have had no dealings in the past with Secs and am prepared to give anyone a try despite what others have said on here. I have seen a number of posts regarding him and his products and all of this has been considered. Therefore if I decide to get one and end up waiting ages then you will not see me complaining on here.

the software even comes with a "get you running" stage3 map that you can download off the website (its got a silly low revlimit n stuff tho)

i'd expect it'd be same price (if not cheaper) to map the S8 than a cossie ECU as it's easier for the mapper.

But then if i was to fit the relevant lambda sensors could I not tweak the map and raise the rev limit gradually while keeping an eye on the fuelling?

Rich J S2,
No problems - Your car looks pukka and its well converted !

avengerpenguin,
If you want a demo anytime, drop me a PM or email and I will meet up or you can
see it work on at least 5 cars that are in our RS local group.

ADUSR32, GFY
Things have changed alot over the last 3 months and as my customers
will testify, things have changed for the better.
Even some well known traders on PF have and still are using my products including
some well respected people/tuning companys and even on non Fords.
I suppose people like you will never let go of the past or give anyone a second chance.
I think now I have proved my worth to the majority of people who have had
dealings with me and as you have never or ever likely to be
a customer of mine you will never know.

I'd get SECS, Autronic, Pectel T6-2000, or Motec myself.

yeh cool jim, I take it it uses all exsisting sensors to monitor the engine then, autronics etc will use new sensors that comes with the ecu which need to be installed.

cheers jim
