seen some hicote hi temp paint!

my mate has his manifold hammerite blacked on his rs turbo a few months bac and thats still on there ok but dont think it willl last

cos mines looking shit all browny want something different. see a focus last months and his was white and looked the bollox

The only way that is worth while is to get them ceranic coated as this is designed for the high temps and will reduce under bonet temps ,you are just wasting time with normal paint

Your mate that did it with hamerite must drive like a pussy as this would burn off the first time you gave it any love

its a completely std rs turbo running 7psi and very rarely gets love

Do it to reduce Temps not for looks! Get it Ceramic Coated if you want a proper job, if not then get your mate to do it with hammerite and watch with peel all over the engine bay!

i used that hight heat paint on the down pipe on my scrambler, all peeled of and turnt to asj after a week,

and thats a shittly little 2 stroke lol

prep is the key, i had my exhaust manifold shot blasted then used high temp paint, its been on there for over 2 years and still looks good. it dose get driven hard now and then even with the high temps of the anti lag....

I've tried a few different paints and some very fancy powder coat (designed for the purpose) but none of it lasts.

Then, my lodger sprayed my 2wd manifold with black BBQ paint from B&Q IIRC, and it has stayed on there for over a year no problems.

That was on a 470 bhp car, used on road and track.

Simple, cheap, works.
