ive got bit of a problem in my cossie, when driving it normally it goes into gear fine. but when i come to nailing it from stand still it will not go into 2nd gear without grinding like a fooker all the other gears are fine. can you adjust the alignment of the gears like you can in an rs turbo? or could it be something worse.

 

Gearbox out job,syncros are worn by the sound of it

No linkage to adjust like on RST,the gear lever goes straight to gearbox

in the long run, a rebuild. By the time you've bought a second hand box and found thats fucked too, you might as well have had the box re-built. Its not that expensive as long as you just need a soft rebuild.
