reasonable pics, but no real sense of the movement and high speed is conveyed

i think you need a slightly longer shutter time and track the car to stop the car blurring but for the background to blur with the motion and not have the wheels look static. it's not easy. i hope to practice abit at the festival of speed tomorrow

I know what you mean, a couple of people have said the same, only thing is, the main clear side on shots the aint going that fast, and i track the car, take the photo and keep panning even after the shot to try and keep the car clear and the back "speed" influenced, but I might have to play with the shutter speeds like you say, still an amature so will get more practice in before the grand prix next month at other events

Too true bud, though I have been playing with my shutter speed settings so HOPEFULLY I can get some good shots at the GP.

Did you get any shots from the Festival of speed?

not many as it was pissing with rain all day and my batteries ran out halfway through the day. as the camera was new and the bag that i ordered hadn't yet arrived, i didn't pack any spares

will have a look at what i took tonight and get the mposted up if there's anything worth looking at
