whats the best time to get as in pattern wise ?

Depends on how the room is decorated and how good you are scribing as to what i would go for.

the room is normal decorated,,,,, all white with a feature wall in light chocloate brown ( run of paint on tin now covers the actual name )

wheres the best place to get it from too

i would got for a plain style with a angled edge. Work out how much you will need then add 15% waste incase you fuck up on anything.

I would go to your local builders merchants and say you need X amount, and just want to know what stlyes you have.

not wickes/b&q ect then

not sure about that design though if im honest,,,, but thats cause i ripped it out last year to replace it and just getting round to it now

You can go to B&Q but you will pay alot more for it bud.

As for styles have a look at a few and seee what you like.

Also like BigMouthBillyBass said you really do want a mitre/chop saw.

Depends on the look your after, contempory/minamalist then 3" square edge. Alternativly if your after a more trad/country style then 5" torus, preferably stained not painted

I would go for the Torus.If you really want to stand out go for the 7".If you want a quick and easy job go for 3 " bullnose.

I would go to your local timber yard.They will sort you out with a decent price
