this morning i won an escort cosworth engine, after the auction ended, the guy requested 2k payment direct into a paypal account, i asked to collect it in person and pay cash, he then said the engine is not at my house, im in france and the engine is at DHL ready to post i wasnt sure what to do so i ignored him for a while. later on i got a message (direct message) from another ebayer, telling me that he bought the engine earlier, and was told a similar story, but that the seller could not arrange collection because he works nights? so this must mean he was lying to me about being in france? this got me really fucking pissed off

i now believe the guy is a scammer, he is definitely not selling an engine.
later on (30 mins or so ago) i looked through escort cosworth listings (i had a lot saved on my favourites from the last couple of weeks) was checking through the prices and by accident i came accross this one:

was browsing through the pics, and noticed the engine bay shot amazingly it was the same small turbo engine that i had won on ebay by this time i was really pissed off, and went to check my inbox only to find that the seller had replied, and claims he has a sale confirmed with a member of an rs forum. as this is the only forum i have been reading (this is my first post, i registered today but read here without posting for over 2yrs now) i thought it may be a good idea to make people know of this

i hope this is a good warning, and everyone appreciates it, sorry to waffle on, i dont want to, but i feel this is the right thing to do.

hope the seller fucking dies, no one deserves to get robbed out of £2000, so dont let it happen
