the exhaust mounting is different.
i think the TO4E is the diesel turbo, not 100% though.
i would give it a miss if you are after a t4 housing, wait until a proper one pops up.

It cant really be a wanna be T4 as it is a Garrett turbo where as the wannabees are xs power shite or similar.
Its not a genuine RS500 T4 but it could very well be the same sort of thing.
PS there is still a T4 in the for sale forums

cracks me up, oh its a "fake" T4 or "T4 is this or that"
T4 is just a VERY VERY vague description of what id expect is about 80% of all turbos that have ever existed, ever.
Millions of variations.
The "B" "E" etc etc after T4 is just the compressor inlet and outlet size designation too, could be on millions of em.
christ, look at the current retro ford, cortina pinto turbo in there with a "t4" that is smaller than most peoples "t3" turbos...
Roosie- Thats a T4 type compressor and a large T3 exhaust housing, like many small "t4s", but its not exactly like a RS500 T4, no.
wether its better, worse, what, dunno, didnt look into it.
what ".63" housing you got? EscCos T34 one? RS500 T4 one? Dumper truck T6 one? all ".63" is is a ratio between wheel and housing size, the wheel being the one they EXPECT to be fitted with that housing, so if you dont know what the original wheel was, it dont mean loads.
RS500 T4 .63 housing is bigger than EscCos one...

rs500 is .70 a/r not .50, exhaust wheel isnt same size/spec, ex housing isnt internally wastegated, not putting life on it but comp wheel not same size (cant be arsed looking)
But yes its a t4!
As stavros, like saying is is a 1.3 escort bonus a cossie cause its a escort..
its a size range and a vague 1 at that

*edit* with the luck you have had recently the exhaust housing wont fit, it will be for a prototype fiat 126 biz turbo which never hit the market and this is the only known exhaust housing casting for it
