Need advice on protecting underneath
Had a tank strap snap last week and noticed under the tank was a bit grotty so decided to take it off and clean up the floor. Had to cut all the jubilee clips as all the heads had rotted off. One of the tank strap bolts is just spinning in the speed clip so going to have to grind it off. The screws holding the back bumper on at the sides had rotted away and had to be drilled out. The sender unit fell to bit as soon as i lowered the tank.....
Ah the joys of owning a 1993 car
Anyway, took some pics of the underneath and its seen better days so what would you do to protect it?
Im thinking of getting out the drill with the wire brush on, then maybe getting a rust proofer then hand painting it in possible
y black? Whats the best primers and paint to use?
Ive got a sand blaster but dont want to go that far as its too messy.

Sorry, no advise as im in the same boat as you, was told not to spend any money on my car as "theres quite a bit of surface rust underneath"
Havent seen it myself though interested in what others have to say about what to do.
