Had a phonecall today to tell me my Escort has been stolen.

It was being stored whilst waiting for some bodywork to be done.

The location was Bramfield near Hertford in Hertfordshire.

The thieves broke into the locked unit where it was stored and then moved across the field backing onto the yard. They must have used a lowloader or something as the car had no engine and 1 or 2 flat tires.

This has happened in the last 2 weeks.

Please spread the word and repost this on any other forums etc, and keep an eye out for the car or any parts from it. It was full RS2000 spec bar the shell, so had the recaro interior etc. The inner wings were what it was in for, there are some holes and bad repairs there, and the bay is largly bare metal. The car also has had a twin tank conversion in the past, and still has 2 fuel caps.

I know its unlikely to be recovered, but I may as well try!

Absolutely gutted.

What is worse is that whoever finally buys car will most likely know it is a stolen car but will strip/repaint car to hide its id

Get in touch with strippers and dippers over the UK and offer em an "incentive" to call you should the car appear at their work for dipping etc

Obviously if that company charges £600 for dipping then offer em £1500 for an anon "phone call"
