Views on vectra GSI V6 MSD
Off to view one now as a replacement for saff, need something sensible/reliable and cheaper to run as im buying a house. Its done 65k and dirt cheap, i know vectrs arent the best cars ever but it should be well equiped etc. Anyone had one??
think so mate, gonna kill me selling it but priorities have to come in at some point, i will have another some day
Anyway vectra was a bag of shit, prob standard v6,didnt even have elec rear windows which i would of thought a gsi would.

There rubbish mate, sound ace, but so underpowered after a turbo car, i got shut of mine for a Volvo T5, cheaper, faster, safer, just look crap lol but cheap power. Ask your kid
ive had one and loved it . saloon black one . the only reason i got rid of it was a mechanic fitted the cambelt wrong which 200 miles down the road destroy the engine . so he rebuilt it which took 3 fookin months and at that point i hated it and sold it . wish i kept it

Ive got a 2.5 v6 Gsi as a everyday car and cant fault it , like what's said above they aint fast but are a nice driving car. My gsi doesnt have elec rear windows either.
One thing to watch out for is rear wheel bearings its a complete bolt on unit and is around 120 from parco. I had to change mine, but luckly my mate is the manager so got it for 45
now thats a mark up.
The one you wanna go for is the Super Tourer 200, theres only 37 of them in the world, all in white with white speedlines. Koni adjustables as standard,AP 4 pots, chipped, better cams, shorter ratios etc, they look fappin awesome as well, and I happen to know where theres one for sale
A Vectra. In white. But dont worry, we havent gone mad, because this is bizarrely as rare, and as special, as the Chevette HSR. Built by racing team MSD, only 38 hit the road (the rest were used in a one-make race series), all individually numbered and equipped with serious sports kit; limited-slip diff, 17-inch Speedline alloys, camshafts from the 3.0-litre Omega, performance exhaust, AP four-pot brakes, a bonanza of styling mods and Recaro seats. The 2.5-litre V6 produced 200bhp and race-derived chassis mods meant it handled such grunt with unexpected aplomb. Not bad for something that every drunken Friday night pedestrian will try to hail.

There you go,a little clip and write up I found

Very heavy cars, cant throw them around at all. Love petrol stations with a passion if you drive them even slightly right foot happy.
Will plod down motorways etc all day long at good speeds and as long as the cam belt is done then the parts are cheap as anything else.
Not the worst car by a long way.
