difference between Oil Separator and Swirl Pot

I thought a swirl pot could be used for fuel or water.

The seperator is for oil.

You have 2 swirl pots as std - one in the fuel tank, and one in the thermostat housing. An oil seperator seperated the oil vapour into liquid and gas, and greatlt improves the std breather setup.
