I am in a process of 4WD cossie powered WRC body kitted focus..

you all know this process i think so no need to write down all the details..
though i can say the engine will be around 360-380hp and our target weight for the car is around 950kg ( hope it will be so light at the end)
we are going to use Fiber bits for the weight reduction where possible..

nuf said...

thanx for the kind inputs i will do my best to update the thread very often... hope the motor mount and the tunnel will be finished this weekend

 

small update with most recent photos of the car... these are shot just today []












this is the begining of the tunnel from the inside... its gonna be wider on the passenger side to take the 4wd shaft..





this is the engine of an ex Group A rallycross escort cossie... shame its covered with dirt but infact its in good condition... anyway we use it for modelling; how to place how to and where to open the tunnel etc. etc.

not for national races.. for some weekend events on track and also for weekend driving so it should be road legal-ish

not that I won't like the projects, but an escort cossie is well balanced and quick

well to make a long story short ; i was just searching for a turbo upgrade for my zetec and i talked to a guy and he told me that he has many spares of escos he can build a cossie engine for the amount of money that im gonna pay for a turbo application... when thinking about that i also thought it will also be nice with a 4wd system and kept going on like this..
and the project came out so do the bills..

anyhow hope it will worth at the end...
