buy the colour you want.why would you do otherwise?dont believe that a particular colour will raise the value of the car.may be if the colour is a non standard colour..then it would certainly lower the value of the car..at least thats my view
go for the white one as you said mate..they are smooth as fook in diamond white,

I HAVE A MALLARD GREEN ONE.
HERE IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA THERE ARE ONLY ABOUT 6 TO PICK FROM. YOU NEVER SEE THEM FOR SALE, BUT WHEN THEY DO COME UP THE COLOUR IS OF NO IMPORTANCE.
BUT IF I WAS ABLE TO PICK A COLOUR IT WOULD BE A RED ONE, COZ EVERYONE KNOWS RED ONES ARE FASTER.
THE SIX THAT I KNOW ARE:
1 RED ONE
2 WHITE ONES
2 MALLARD GREENS, ONE OF WHICH IS MINE
AND 1 BLACK ONE

pacifica is a nice colour, so many variations in the colour in different lights.
also depends on wether you want a small or large turbo as a lot of the colours are specific to the turbo size car ie: auralis so it would have to be a ST model or pacifica would have to be a LT model

i'd much rather have a better condition car than simply go for colour , as all escos colours look amazing anyway!!!
Better to rule out the colours you DONT want rather than limit yourself to one or two colours. Just dont make do with an inferior car just because its your first choice colour.
The only colours i didnt want was mallard or imperial. Its much easier to do it this way and rule out the ones you wouldnt be happy with.
By the way, auralis is by far the best colour to go for!!!!

just like the other said, its more down to personal choice.
everyone onhere will prob say that the colour they own is the best.
of course Pacifica is by far the best....
just kidding. personally thats what i think, but every colour in an escort colour is quality cos i think they are a quality car...
Jewel Violet and Polaris Grey i would say are the rarest car.
and if i was to have another es cos it would be polaris, for the rariety.
Good luck in your search.

although i do love silver moondust.
difficult this is.
i normally say dont buy any cossie thinking "i want that colour"i would normally say go for the best car out there for the cash but when i get one i will only have two colours and will wait for them.favourite is polaris grey, followed so very very closely by gloss black
but white is the motorsport colour and still ticks the right box for me.so if thats what you want why not go for it.
it makes fook all difference to price, condition does!
good luck mate

Think what escos you want small or large turbo, then rule out the colour,s you don,t want. Then go buy the best you can get for your money. Thats what i did and i,m well pleased with what i got.

I think there's only two silver Escort Cosworths on here.
an escos does look good in white, gives it that motorsport touch
i think auralis blue is probably the nicest colour, but it depends on the overall look of the car (ie, headlamps, wheels etc...)

rumor is that Ford had a problem with the paint on the silver escos, the paint was reacting when the laquer was applied, therefore only a few shells were salvaged & the rest were painted white.
Regards colours of escort cosworths, i am led to understand that
the cars were hand built at Karmann, and the production line was not
like other ford production lines,i also remember from years ago
someone who bought a new escort cosworth from the rsoc rejected
it as the paint was iffy from new,so he looked at the dealers other new
ones and found the paint was not as good as it should have been.
was a German geezer just wafting the paint on by hand in the factory
or was it robots, i dunno
i think quality of paint is far more important than just a nice colour

Some say that imperial blue is a more favourable colour and adds value, but I think thats bollox to be honest.

As Dave says dark coloured cars are a bstard to keep clean

starting to get a compulsive disorder, even cleaned my track car yesterday

Hi everyone, This is my first post here, I just wanted some help deciding about the paint on my escort cosworth. Its currently all in primer, it was a bit of a mess when i got it, but its getting there now. The original colour is Polaris Grey. I like the colour, but my girlfriend doesnt, she thinks i should get it painted mallard. I would really appreciate any comments (good or bad) before i choose the colour.. Basically looking for A) Your personal choice. & B) The reasons why. - It would be a big help. Thanks in advance for any replies. Jay.

and my currant one
