Default tyre suggestion please..

right we have a mondeo st200 estate as our every day runner, only had it about 2 months.but upon driving it in the wet its has become very noticeable that the tyres must be shite,as it pushes straight on at roundabouts and corners which i find bloody scarey and dangerous.it does it at what i consider very low speeds,it also spins up far too easy now i can only put it down to the fact they are some whoflungpoo nasty tyres as i cant find anything else wrong with it.

what are the best sorts of tyres for driving in the wet with, obviously they wont be bad in the dry but it must go round a corner in the wet

any help very much appreciated

I had F1 GSD3, they wear very well, but are not THE best in the wet, stil excellent though.
Goodyear EAGLE VENTURA are light years ahead for the wet, but not sure they still make them ?
I use UNIROYAL RAINSPORT 1 in the wet and have found no better, way way better than F1, wear is very good too, better than F1.
