I having a bit of a dilema, i currently own a seat ibiza cupra 1.8 20vt with 79k on the clock it runs about 200bhp but it needs a bit of money spent on it. I've been offered a straight swap with a renault clio 172 sport with 36k miles on a 02 plate it absolutly immaculate!! What should i do it sounds like a no brainer really. i just thought i'd see what you guys think

What 'work' does the ibzia need?

Build quality on both cars aint great, the clio is better in the bends, the cupra on the straights.

Where as I would stick with the Cupra , it being the better looking car and the fact I hate clios

This is all personal preference , if the Cupra needs money spent on it and you like the car then do it , you cant expect not to spend money on the up keep of a car anyway

i used to have an ibiza and they're fooking mint cars, mine never let me down once. personally i'd look at it from a financial point of view as i don't like clios really but ibizas with that mileage seem to be for sale all the time and don't go for as much as they used to unfortunatly. but saying that i know fuck all about clios and what their worth...

why not do a Parkers price guide on both of them.

at least that will tell you if its worth doing from a monetary point of view!

1.8 20v Turbo, similar/same as one of the engines you could get in the mk4 Golf GTi and Leon Cupra IIRC
