If memory serves me correct it is 7.19 in a Radical SR3 Turbo driven by Phil Bennett. The circuit is around 15 miles ish.

If you exclude the Radical in favour of proper roadcars its 7.32,44 by the Carrera GT followed by the Gemballa GTR600.

The Radical holds the "Roadcar" record, not THE record - that goes to Stefan Bellof in the Porsche 956! If memory serves me right it's something like 6m56s

Just for the record my first lap was 10 minutes

they say you shouldn't really try and time yourself as it forces you to push too hard without a lot of saftey margin. You are meant to concentrate on smoothness and getting your turning in and braking points right. Speed comes from this.

I have never timed myself, because this encourages you to always try and beat your best lap, which can only end in disaster .

I judge my laps on how much fun I have . You always can tell a fast lap, as you feal very good about getting most of the corners "just right". When that happens, the ear to ear grin is .

Get Martin to post some video footage of in the car if he can .

155mph at Flugplatz flashing RSVs / CBRs / GSXRS out of the way .

One of my unofficial laps where I was not slowed up too much, was 9m20secs
This was recorded by official Casio handpiece, callibrated by Efe
I am sure Mike is about a minute quicker

Tiff,

The production car lap record has apparently been claimed by the Carrera GT, as the Radical is not seen as a proper production car (whatever that means) the CGT did a 7m36 IIRC.

We're next out there on the 6th and 7th November if anyone fancies meeting up. Should be nice and icy!

Timed laps are not really a good idea , but if I was timing, I'd say about 8m20 in my M5 and 8m47 in my 330d.

Matt
