Hi i need new suspension on my car its a 92 rs2000 where is the cheepest place to get some from? been looking at gmax suspension for about £230 is that a good price? Thought u lot might guide me in the right direction

 

gmax handles no better than new standard stuff IMO.

Also want it lowering aswell tho AlexF want it lowered about 40mm but can only find kits what do 35mm/30mm

Would u think its best to use ford shocks with lowering springs?

 

2nd hand Bilstien dampers would be better than brand new GMAX stuff. Springs aren't that big a deal. Just buy a set of 35mm springs. Remember the RS2k was around 20mm lower than the regular escort.

So 35mm will be bordering on too low. But for shocks I really reccomend finding a set of 2nd had DECENT stuff.

Aye, Ebay, have a look in here at the for sale sections, PM the breakers such as Pete RS Specialists, North Yorks RS Spares, Dan @ Rapid ford etc.

Also check the RSOC BB, escort evolution etc


Good quality 2nd hand will outperform new cheapo stuff every time.
