i used to have a afr autometer gauge and it was only the leds that lit up.The other 3 autometer gauges i also had though did light up.
Also some of them fogged up behind the face though from time to time.

the autometer leds one wont have a backlight as it doesnt need one
this is the one i use aswell, you can get a rough idea whats going on with it anyhow as the the red ,amber or green lights will tell you
whats the difference between wide band and anrrow band then?

The Narrow-band gauges aren't great for Turbo cars. You're more likely to hit a car up the arse whilst looking at it than actually get any useful information from it.
Best buy a proper VEMS or Innovate Wideband kit IMO.

Yes, infact the VEMS one can also display EGT onto the same 52mm gauge. OK, so it costs around £250, but for that you will be seeing AFR/Lambda practically as accurately as a tuner would use.

NO GAUGE THAT USES THE STANDARD SENSOR IS WORTH A WANK
A narrow band gauge shows RICH on anything below about 14.3, which is FAR more than lean enough to melt your cossie engine.
So if you want a piece of shite guage that tell you "FULLY RICH" when you are dangerously lean then carry on, if you want something useful, buy a wideband.
