If it all goes to plan I should finally be in a position to buy a decent Escos in a month or so, only problem is which colour to go for . My gut feeling is Impy blue, but as the Focus is that, thought I might go for something different, which leads me asking the above question!

Also, can someone give me some background info on why they're so rare?

 

jewel violet looks pretty good in pictures,,,,, but in real life it is so much better

its rare & in demand because there wasn't many made in that colour, about 9 or 10 'Monte's' & a not a lot of normal escorts!!!

 

think there were 26 montes in j/violet [rhd] according to m/cat,and doo did some checking on this as well and it seems spot on,and the odd 1 or 2 normal ones,so they are pretty scarce compared to the normal colours

 

I've had a look around, can't see any for sale at the mo, might have to be Impy blue then! Love your choice of wheels on yours btw

Mate, you could buy any colour and you'd love it. Pink, green, purple, blue, white, black, red, orange, silver, yellow, grey, brown, gold....

 

They are rare as not many people went into Ford and said can I have that car there,

I'd suggest buying on condition rather than colour. I only wanted Flat black, Aubergine or Polaris, no other colour would do, no way, never.

Lol, I know what you're saying, but my mind's made up on a Jewel violet one now, so will have to wait it out; I'll keep an eye on Junkyard 28.

To those who like the wheels (presuming I buy a standard one that is) I'll be moving them straight on, for something a little less hub-cappy

 

the ones in that pic are the 18" mag rims,standard ones are similar but alloy and only 16", folks seem to like them though ill let you know if i hear of any j/violets for sale, what sort of price range?

Looking to spend 16K at the most, although my brother's mate reckons I won't get one for that. I'm sure I've seen one on J28's website for 15K though.

 

That is nothing short of stunning although a little out of my price range. tbh I'd feel guilty using it, being as it's only done so few miles. My Focus has just crossed to 20,000, and I still feel bad about doing that to her now

 

love Jewel violet, STUNNING colour, only better colour is ash black, obviously
