As title really, the time has come i think to get rid of the saph, bt i am just wondering if a car with not all original panels devalues it? my cossie had all original panels whn i bought it, but due to the wheel theft thing my front wing had to be replaced so wasnt sure if this affects value. I would have thought overall condition on a 20yr old car was more important but wanted to get some other opinions, otherwise the car is sound and only has 4 previous owners and 90k on the clock

it affects the more concours cars imo...a good useable car in very good condition with a few non gen panels is fine if you ask me...as long as everything lines up right

dunno mate .. i was just hoping for some more cheap parts from you still got that beam in bits must fit it one day or them bushes i fitted will be wasted

 

I personally would be wary of a car of this age if everything was original.
My idea is rust will get there at some time, so if panles etc have been replaced, PROPERLY, then that is more incentive to me to buy it.

the amount of non recorded crashed damaged cossies on the road is silly

my cossie had TWO new rear quarters and back panel due to a crash and wasnt on hpi,, the only way you could tell was the pant wasnt as yellow as the roof was

i also justwanna start getting home on a fri and just jumping in the car and fook off for the weekend with the wife and kids, like i always said i would do when i had kids, but somehow think the cossie may not be the ideal weekend car for that shit

the missus old man owns one and im thinking about borrowing it for a week as a driving holiday with my family in europe

i know what you mean about the fun part,,, though i think the scene has changed a little as i remember more people going shows, remember the R/R days we ALL attended with the new cars and people just showing up for the crack ect

think the game needs a kick up the arse to get it back where it was

though ive noticed we now have piss-up's which are fun

seriously when i first got in the scene it was different,, meeting at south mims with keith, max, claire to convoy to southend/halfway house and other meets or just the death run on the way to the beds meet


it seems to have all gone,,,, infact where is gayboy and max these days ?

 

Personally I think if the panels are will fitted and lined up properly then it would not put me off unless it was a low mileage original car for compotition use etc.

As for being in your 30's and driving an RS - who gives a flying fook, if you like it and it puts a smile on your face then

 

Its sitting in the garage atm with no wheels after I reversed it into a kerb and made a right fookin mess
