Default Do anyones 19's rub on the wheelarch liner when cornering?

My tyres seem to be rubbing on the top of the wheelarch liners under acceleration /hard cornering, I've got the Koni's on hardest setting and they still do it, it's only lowered by 20 mm on Eibachs and I don't remember it doing it before, could the top spring cups be broken?
any suggestions guys

Mine never rubber Mat, but then again they never inspired enough confidence to really hammer it round corners

I wouldn't like to guess mate, just strip it down & have a look, give you a chance to do some more cleaning

Won at LWV but then again i was the only entrant

An unexpected bonus was car of the day though

my r/harts used to clear ok, with 225/35/19" the rears used to just catch though when the kids were in the back remove the top nuts in the engine bay, remove top plate and you will be able to see if the cups are broken, save stripping stuff down, you would normally hear the noises though if they were knackered, well done dave, car looked mint, came across to see you but you werent there

Mine never rubbed at all even 4 up 225/35/19, apart from when the washer bottle bracket retaining nut came undone and pushed the archliner onto the tyre. I reckon it could be the top hat, or the shocks could have blown.

The shocks have only done a few thousand miles tops-is this likely
I will check the tops and check to see if the wheelarch liners have dropped somehow-I will be really annoyed if the shocks have gone

Sounds like the arch liner has come adrift, or the KONI's are f**ked, and underload they are travelling too far. Check for oil leaking round the seals where the piston rods go into the shock body/ strut leg.

Thanks mate
is there a way of testing to see if they are knackered
ie could I push them in with my hands if I took them off the car, or would they not be THAT knackered!

You should be able to compress them and they should return themselves slowly.
