Ben you only say that cos he's the only one you know
No Nicko is the bollox, but I rate DeGrasso pretty fucking high too
Saw him when he was with Megadeth (on tour a few years back now) and he was fooking ace

Steven Adler or Matt Sorum?
Lars is god IMO - maybe (well definitely) not the best drummer by far, but got so much character behind the kit

Any other drummers, check out (if you haven't) Mike Mangini - he is the Steve Vai or Joe Satriani of drums - also holds record for worlds fastest drummer too IIRC
what he can't do behind a kit just cannot be done
Thrush,

hmmm have you ever seen billy cobham ?? jazz drummer
double stroke rolls with one hands across the whole kit
all i can say is
Yeap, i've been playing the drums since i was 10
Got a 6 peice Yamaha Maple kit but its not seen the light of day for over a year now due to lack of space
Played for the school bands and did up to grade 7 i think
By far the best instrument to learn

I not been playing quite that long - didn't start properly till I was 11/12 so thats 10/11 yrs now
Current count is three kits
Pearl, Premier (mixed to make one big fook off double bass set up) and a small custom jazz style kit I used to use for fucking about on and keeping in studio's venues backstage for warm up/practice
Did the school bands, various rock/metal bands, pub scene plus a couple of mini-uk "tours" (lol, us + van + guitarists dad - we was 14/15 lol - and a bunch of sweaty clubs/venues lol)
Not played live now for years tho - did some sessionwork in the late 90's but nothing important - still miss it but not got time or funds to go after it again

You can always tell a drummer a mile off, always the first to start tapping their feet when the music comes on
I love it playing, but without proper space where u can make as much noise as you like its not worth the hassel of getting it all set up.

Been playing since I was 9 - believe it or not, I actually travelled across to a lot of countries playing in a marching band.
Isn't as embarassing as it sounds, especially when you see the percussion set up we used to have
My marching snare was Ł1200!
Very average kit player so gave it up to play classical piano, but the practice mats still get thrashed

PON - not embarrasing at all - I wish I was good enough to play corps
Guy i worked with was a corps drummer and the things he could do on a snare was unbeliveable
I love snares tho - addicted to em - current count is 5
But thats only cos I sold the other 4
My fave being my one-of-a-kind Pearl Csutom Classic one piece maple finished in Mother of Peal laquer with 24k gold hardware, built for and sold to me by Paul Wellers drummer Steve White (had him sign it too, current value now near Ł800
), but also have a bunch of Tama and Pearl snares all good for different applications
Brass, nickel, steel, maple, birch, carbon fibre - I love all snares

I remember wanted a piccalo maple snare, one of those 3" jobbies that cost around Ł600. Saved up for 2 years for that lol.
God knows how much all the kit i have is worth and its just sitting here doing nothing.

mapex snare , double pedals, twin high hats , 7 piece kit and i generally use approx 7 cymbols dependant on space / material !! taught myself to play approx 3 year ago , been in rock bands ever since !! did a stint of approx 50 gigs last year in 8 months
was fookin knackered !! especially workin 50hours a week as well
if its ion your blood - its there to stay !!!

Our percussion section solo was always awesome!
I have on video somewhere the 4 lead snares (of which I was one) playing a really complicated rhythm piece on each other's snares! We were cross linked, and playing the solo on the two guy's snares next to us! Looked very VERY cool!
Wish I'd carried it on, but had to give it up for Uni right at the time we were offered the chance to tour the US
The corps used to play at Wembley once a year - do they still do that?

33 was the record - been smashed now tho by a massive media sponsored event in the US with over 200 of the coonts
Was on blue peter and everything

Now I heard it was Dave Lombardo that filled in for Lars?????
I'm not really a fan of Jordison - good so he is, but I think cos of the over hype ot Slipknot I can't let my self like his playing
Lombardo is fooking amazing tho
the early Slayer (before Paul Bostaph) was unreal
Also love Fear Factory's Raymond Herrara - some of the fastest double bass shit you'll ever see live
