Without bringing that thread to the top for no reason, Pani K's comments about the "lardy" golf needing all its power to haul its fat arse around is bollocks IMHO, it might be heavy, but the Mk5 dont feel like it, nothing like the Mk3+4, the handing is awesome aned fun and would eat most 80s/90s hatchbacks alive.
Corsa feels the same, isnt light compared to "original" hatchbacks, but dont seem big n heavy, thats for sure.
Renault 5 GT Turbos are still the best ever tho IMO

As with the Astra VXR, the Corsa will get a Sport button on the dashboard which sharpens up the suspension, steering, dampers and throttle response.

I'm sure its a perfectly good car and I admit quite hard in some views but I just don't like small cars, I don't like Corsas and I don't particularly like Vauxhall so I wouldn't have one
Small cars of an exception are Uno turbos (would you say R5 is small small? I'd say medium!) I like the Williams Clio (of course V6) and the 182 but Clios still just seem girly

Uno turbos ROCK
(Mk 2 of course
)- Love 5 turbos as well, funny I was thinking about buying one the other day as they are a hoot to drive
...
Not enough small fun cars around anymore, the 90's hatches were the bollox
Astra GTE 16v, Uno Turbo, 5 GTT, 205 Gti's, Rs Turbos, Clio williams,Ren 19 16v's, etc, nothing seems quite as characterful any more
... Best recent car I have had the pleasure to drive is a ST focus, fantastic car but still not quite as raw as the old 90's hot hatches
..... Ah.... rose tinted specs are great....
