Default ticking from my clutch

had a new organic clutch fitted to my saph and found a ticking noise. its all the time and only stops when you put pressure on the clutch pedal. its started to get worse just recently. i was told it may be the shaft that the release bearing sits on. the shaft may have turned into the shape of a 50p piece and therefore the bearing rattles around on it. anyone heard of this before or know how hard/expensive it is to replace???

cheers

a lot of the 24V converted sierra's have this problem with no ill effects
it's the springs that rattle and as soon as you put just the tiest bit of pressure on the clutch pedle it goes away

if it's anything like the spigot bearing going you'd soon know about it

and if it's the main input shaft bearing you'll soon know about that too as they tend to oval the input shaft oil seal which dumps loads of oil into the bellhousing
