My Nova GTE-T project DONE (Picture update 05-05-07)
Well been doing 14hr days working on my Nova the last 3 days and all the hard work is now paying off only the boost pipes, fuel lines & exhaust to do then she'll fire into life
Some of you will remember that she had a Group-A spec 1.6 8v fitted but as much as the lal engine was a monster it just wasn't practical with the high lift cam that was fitted (no power below 3000rpm)
so many months ago i sold the engine and purchased a Calibra Turbo and have since robbed it for it gearbox & engine, stripped it & rebuilt it and now have finally got round to fitting it into the Nova engine bay (which i tell you ain't easy if you doing the job right & making it tidy
)
with the fact that the car has only ever covered 52,000 miles and is super super mint as the previous owner totally stripped the car and rebuilt it and in the process fully seam welding the shell to Group A Spec.
I've tried to keep it in mind that i wanted it to look factory fit and as original as possible as if it drove outta the show room fitted as standard
The engine will be running on Phase 1 EDS chips so it'll be a mild 250bhp which TBH is plenty quick enough for me as i have the BMW aswell
This should keep the engine ultra reliable and usable which is what my goal was from the beginning anyway will do a full post on this once its all done but heres a pic so far. All being well she'll be running tomorro

WELL finally finished it today got it all bolted back together tonight about 9pm took it for a little drive and well it spins in 3rd in the dry and the engine is still running standard chips gods know what she'll be like when my new chips arrive
As you can see it just look like a midly modded nova from the outside which was exactly what i wanted
Here some fresh Pics the light was fading so will get some more up shortly

Waiting on freshly painted rocker cover to arrive yet

I've had every other type of engined nova apart from a C20LET so it made sense to convert this nova as its a super mint shell to start with and the welding had already been done
